TUCSON, Ariz. — James Badger, a teacher with Tucson Unified School District, is facing 10 felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Badger appeared in court this morning, TUSD says they will release a statement Wednesday.
Badger is being held on a $150,000 bond and will have a preliminary hearing on Jan. 21, at 1:30 p.m.
According to the Tucson Police Department, their Internet Crimes Against Children Unit began an investigation in October of 2024.
TPD says detectives obtained and served numerous search warrants, ultimately identifying Badger as the suspect.
On Tuesday, with assistance from the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, and TPD’s Forensic Electronic Media Unit, TPD/ICAC investigators served a search warrant at Badger's home on Tucson’s eastside.
Investigators examined evidence from the home and found probable cause to charge James Badger with ten counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.Â
