TUCSON (KVOA) - After three long years, a Tucson dog has found his way home.

According to a post shared by Pima Animal Care Center Tuesday morning, Aiden was recently reunited with his family at the shelter located at 4000 N. Silverbell Rd.

Shelter officials say Aiden's owner has not seen her dog in about three years. During that time, she decided to not change her phone number with hopes that she would one day be reunited with her dog.

PACC said thanks to Aiden's microchip, he was brought back to his family.

People who wish to microchip their pets are advised to visit nokillpimacounty.org.
