Police ID suspects in Thursday's robbery, pursuit on I-10

TUCSON (KVOA) - Police have identified the four suspects involved in Thursday's pursuit along Interstate 10.

Daniel Martinez, 18, Damien Tona, 17, Enrique Moreno, 16, and Rodolfo Alcaraz, 18 have been arrested and charged in connection to a robbery and a police chase that ended in crash on I-10 and Cortaro Road.

Police say officers responded to reports of a robbery on Ajo Way and Interstate 19, where police began following a black Camaro, the suspected vehicle.

Police were able to locate that vehicle on S. 12th Ave. and Drexel Road. Officials said that police, again, began following the vehicle to I-10, where the pursuit initiated.

The Camaro reportedly got off of I-10 and began traveling eastbound on Cortaro Road. The vehicle then made a U-turn on Cortaro Road, where it collided with another vehicle near the train tracks.

After the crash, the suspects fled the scene but were caught later.

Daniel Martinez, 18, was charged with aggravated robbery, armed robbery, and prohibited possessor.

Damien Tona, 17, was charged with aggravated robbery, armed robbery, and aggravated assault on a peace officer.

Enrique Moreno, 16, was charged with aggravated robbery, armed robbery, and prohibited possessor.

Rodolfo Alcaraz, 18, was charged with aggravated robbery and armed robbery.
