TUCSON – A man was killed on the westside and a year later, there is still no one in custody.
The family of Jose Ramon Lopez is still searching for answers.
Lopez was found just after midnight on November 1st, 2017 in his running car on St. Mary’s Road and Grande Avenue.
Officers said he had gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family remembered him with a balloon release on Wednesday.
“We know that somebody knows,” said Zulma Ciscomani, Jose’s sister. “That’s why its even harder because we just want answers. Sometimes we don’t want to know and he’s in a better place. We don’t want to hear that sometimes, we just miss him. His kids, his family, his brothers and sister. Everybody misses him.”
The family hopes that someone will come forward. They say they don’t hate whoever did it, but they want to be free of the pain.
They say they are meeting with detectives within the next week for an update on the investigation.
