Posted 1:24 PM 5/6/2012 : UA student reports strong armed robbery
TUCSON - A University of Arizona student was robbed and assaulted early Sunday morning.
It happened around 3 a.m. in the alleyway between 1st Street and 2nd Street behind the Martin Luther King building.
The student was approached by two other men, physically assaulted and robbed. A third man drove up, the suspects got in and took off.
One man is described as a dark skinned, heavy set Hispanic male, 18 to 22-years-old, approximately 5'8" to 5'10" tall, weighing 200 to 300 pounds with black spiked or buzzed cut hair. He was wearing big black sunglasses, a grey tank top and blue jeans.
The second suspect is also described as a dark skinned Hispanic male, 18 to 22-years-old. He is approximately 5'8" to 5'10" tall, weighing 150 to 180 pounds with a buzzed cut hair, and was wearing a red t-shirt and blue jeans.
The driver of the vehicle is described as a Hispanic male.
The suspects were last seen driving northbound on Highland Avenue, in a tan or grey 1990 to 2000 style Oldsmobile or Cadillac with four doors and vertical tail lights.
The student suffered minor injuries. Anyone with information about this incident should call 911 or 88-CRIME.
