TUCSON - Where can you go for great wine and terrific food from some of Tucson's best restaurants? It's time, once again, for the Tucson Culinary Festival!

Chef Jim Murphy from Bluefin and Kingfisher stopped by to talk about this year's festival. Here are some fun facts from his discussion with Allison:

-The "TCF" is comprised of 3 different events: reserve tasting, grand tasting & the World Margarita Championship.

-The majority of the events' proceeds are donated to local charitable organizations, including Tucson Values Teachers and the Hispanic Chamber Scholarship Fund.

-On Saturday October 6th there is a reserve tasting at the Casino Del Sol pool area from 5 - 8 p.m. $100 per person ($125pp at the door) - a special event made for wine lovers, the reserve tasting gives guests a rare opportunity to taste small production, boutique wines seldom available by the glass, along with special dishes created by Tucson Original chefs to complement the wines. The reserve tasting will take place on the pool area and breezeway just outside the grand ballroom from 5 to 8 pm.

-Guests with reserve tasting tickets may also attend the grand tasting.

-The Grand Tasting takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. $65 per person ($80pp at the door) in the Grand Ballroom and foyer. Over 100 wines, from the top growing regions of the world, a wide selection of micro brews and beers and tastings of signature dishes from over 40 Tucson Original restaurants.

-On Friday, October 26th: The World Margarita Championship at the Tucson Museum of Art from 6 to 9 p.m. $45 per person ($60pp at the door)

-Tucson Originals is a group of more than 50 independently-owned local restaurants.
