Posted 9:55 PM 9/24/2012 : Three hurt when car hits pedestrians
TUCSON - Three people were hurt Monday night after being hit by a vehicle.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department tells News 4 five male pedestrians crossed Benson Highway from West to East about 6:45 p.m. when three of them were hit by a small sedan.
At least one of them went through the car's windshield.
The three injured men were transported to University Medical Center by ambulances of Rural Metro Fire Department and Tucson Fire Department.
One of the males, 15-years of age, suffered a fractured arm and a fractured leg. A 20-year-old male suffered a closed head wound and will remain at UAMC overnight for observation. The third male, also 20-years of age, suffered only minor injuries.
The 23-year-old driver of the vehicle cooperated with the investigation. No arrests were made or citations issued at this time.
