TUCSON - The female Flowing Wells teacher who was arrested for Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor has been placed on administrative leave by the district.
On May 2, 2012, the Crimes Against Children Unit became aware that Christina Marie Carbone, 23, was possible engaging in sexual intercourse with a minor, according to a Pima County Sheriff's Department news release. The victim was interviewed, and evidence was collected and processed.
The investigation revealed that Carbone allegedly met the teenager in March 2012 at a social function. The victim is a student of TUSD and not a student of Carbone at the time of the sexual activity, sheriff's officials state.
Carbone was arrested and charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor.
Flowing Wells School District officials tell News 4 Tucson that Carbone is a first-year and has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation by the school district. She will not return to campus pending the outcome of the investigation.
