(WMC) A teacher at Lake Brantley High School is suspended from the school for five days without pay for taping a disruptive student's hands together, according to a letter from the superintendent.
Science teacher Greg Sims was accused of taping the student's hands together, attempting to tape her mouth closed and taping her book bag to a pole inside of the classroom because she was disrupting the class, according to a letter sent to Sims by Seminole County Superintendent Walt Griffin.
The disruptive student was listening to music, and singing in class and after being told to quiet down twice by Sims, he decided to take action, according to school officials.
