TUCSON - A 19-year-old has pleaded guilty to 2 felony counts of Criminal Damage for graffiti.

Cody Bledsoe will spend 90 days in jail and was sentenced to 3 years probation for vandalism, which included glass-etching and graffiti. He will also have to pay the City of Tucson up to $5,000.

He tagged more than 100 buildings around town in the last 8 months, according to Tucson Police.

One of his targets was the Circus Furniture on Dodge Boulevard and Fort Lowell Road. He hit the location often, and even etched in their windows.

"I hope that anybody involved in doing that understands that it not just impacts the business, it impacts the community," said manager Drew Wolder.

The windows could not be repaired, and cost $30,000 to replace.

"90 days is a slap on the hand," Wolder said, "and it's not enough for the tens of thousands of dollars worth of damages."

Wolder is not the only one speaking out about the impacts of tagging. Residents in the area also agree vandalism like this is an issue.

"It lessens property value and it lessens the neighborhood," said Gilbert Nelson, a North Side resident.

Bledsoe has another hearing in August. He may owe Circus Furniture up to $19,000.
