TUCSON - Sabino High School on Tucson's northeast side is on alert after repeated threats by a student there. The Pima County Sheriff's Department has confirmed it is conducting an on-going investigation involving a 13-year-old student.

Capt. Chris Nanos told News 4 Tucson that the first incident occurred on October 10, when the freshman student was arrested and turned over to juvenile authorities after making threats to shoot other students. Then on October 26th, the same student was discovered using a computer on campus looking up material on serial killers.

News 4 Tucson has also obtained a copy of a letter given out to students from the Office of the Principal at Sabino on Monday. In it, Principal Valerie Payne cites rumors on campus "about threatened violence" and refers to a freshman student stating "I am going to come to school dressed as a serial killer."

Principal Payne also stated in the letter that there will be extra security on campus on Halloween, this Wednesday.
