TUCSON - The search for an Oro Valley woman missing since Wednesday has been suspended.

On Monday morning, Pima County Search and Rescue crews made the decision to suspend the search. Family members say 51-year-old Janet Rennspies told them she was going to watch the sunrise last Wednesday. On Friday, her car was found in a parking lot on Mount Lemmon.

Family found Rennspies' vehicle near the Mount Lemmon Observatory on Friday. That started a two-day search of the area, with the help of a helicopter, hikers, Pima County Sheriff's Department K-9 units, and five house-mounted units. On day one, search teams took to the main trails, and on day two, they performed a more thorough search of the rougher terrain.

Today, the search has been officially suspended pending new information.

Investigators are re-interviewing friends and family, and are still asking for the public's help. If you have any information related to this incident, law enforcement officials urge you to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
