TUCSON - Today on News 4 Tucson at 4 p.m., Paul Dias and Jack Clements stopped by to talk about the upcoming Ronald McDonald House Charities Golf Classic.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Arizona provides comfort and support to families and children facing serious illness or injury. The Ronald McDonald House provides a "Home Away from Home" for families who must travel to Tucson for medical care.
Some other facts about the Ronald McDonald House:
• The Ronald McDonald House has served more than 8,000 families since opening on Feb. 14, 1981.
• The Tucson RMH was the world's 21st. We are now one of 315 houses in 31 countries.
• The average family stay is 33 nights; RMHC serves approximately 600 families a year.
The 18th Annual McDonald House Charities Golf Classic will be held on June 28th at The Gallery Golf Club, with proceeds going to support the McDonald House Charities of Southern Arizona.
