TUCSON - Ron Barber's camp held a watch party at the Marriot University Park in Tucson.
Ron Barber supporters say their efforts the last four months paid off. They got him to the finish line and came out on top.
Gabrielle Giffords and her husband were in attendance, they said they're thrilled at Barber's win.
Barber stressed the importance of early ballots and this election, they were returned at a record rate.
Barber's camp tells News 4 that when Giffords won the seat, it was early ballots that gave her the edge.
Barber heads to Washington next week.
