Posted 10:17 AM 5/7/2012 : Michael Phelps to retire after 2012 Olympics
(CNN) - Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps says he's ready to enjoy life out of the pool.
He told "60 Minutes" about his plans to retire once the summer games in London are done. His coach admitted there was a period when he wasn't sure if Phelps would even make it to London.
If he can earn three medals this year, he will retire as the athlete with the most medals in Olympic history.
