SAHUARITA-- The Quihuis family is synonymous with the town of Sahuarita.
"My grandparents moved to this area in about 1945 or before," said Ray Quihuis, assistant basketball coach at Sahuarita High School.
After serving in Vietnam, Ray came back home looking for an escape, one he found on the basketball court.
"I started volunteering in 1975," said Quihuis. For 13 years Ray came to every practice and every game as an unpaid assistant at Sahuarita High. He left in 1988 but came back two years later, this time on salary, and Quihuis has been pacing the sidelines ever since.
