TUCSON - As part of our continuing series, "Olympic Dreamers," News 4 Tucson's John Overall recently trained with world-class cyclist Kathryn Bertine.
Kathryn is a former professional ice skater, collegiate rower, and high school cross country runner. After moving to Tucson, Kathryn took up cycling, and in 2006, she was given an assignment from ESPN to spend the next two years trying to get to the Beijing Olympic Games.
Kathryn didn't quite make it to the Olympics, but she was more than happy to share her wealth of knowledge with News 4 Tucson's John Overall. One important secret to cycling not covered in this video is cycling attire.
Find out why guys like John are called "MAMILS" by the cycling community - we've posted a video of John's outtakes and bloopers on the KVOA Facebook page.
