Posted 7:28 AM 8/2/2012 : Olympic Dreamers: Aim, Pull and Shoot!
TUCSON- As part of our continuing series, "Olympic Dreamers," News 4 Tucson's Danielle Lerner headed to the Tucson Trap and Skeet Club to try trap shooting.
The Club is a world-class facility, and it just hosted some of the world's best shotgun athletes for an Olympic-qualifying event back in March. It is also the second-largest sport shooting facility in the nation.
Instructor Vern Hayden spent several hours teaching Danielle proper form, movement, and gave plenty of insight into what it takes to be an Olympic shooter. Hayden says one of the secrets to good trap and skeet shooting is positive thinking. That may sound easy but as Danielle found out, trap shooting is much harder than it looks.
You can get a closer look at Danielle's experience on the KVOA Facebook page, we've posted some extra clips for you to enjoy.
