TUCSON - Today on News 4 at 4, Dr. Lori mackstaller from the Sarver Heart Center stopped by the News 4 Tucson studios to talk about what's making medical news today.

The New Jersey mother accused of taking her 5-year-old daughter into a tanning booth is making headlines, and risks of indoor tanning to the forefront.

Indoor tanners having a 74 percent increased risk of developing melanoma, Dr. Mackstaller says.

Tanning can actually be addictive, in that it produces endorphins that provoke feelings of happiness, and when people stop tanning, they actually experience feelings of withdrawal like shakes and nausea, Dr. Mackstaller said.
