TUCSON - Several dust storms swept across the Tucson area today - News 4 Tucson's SkyNet cameras were in place to catch the dust as it dropped visibility in some area to virtually zero.
The weather service has issued a dust storm warning, which will remain in effect until 4 p.m. today.
Chief Meteorologist Rob Guarino says an outflow from storms in the Sierra Vista area pushed north into Tucson. That means it almost rained in that area, but instead, dry conditions caused large burst of wind to sweep across the Southern Arizona desert.
The Pima County Department of Environmental Quality has issued an air quality advisory, warning of elevated levels of particulate matter.
