TUCSON - One of Kristi's Kids, who's always put other people ahead of her own cancer, is in dire need of help.

8-year-old Azayliah Perez relapsed last December and is still fighting through treatments. She has stomach pain, two feeding tubes and constant weakness.

And now, her family home is falling apart. There's a hole in the roof, the home heater doesn't work and the hot summer electric bills have mounted, to nearly $7,000. Azayliah's mom, Deseree Mendoza, tells Kristi's Kids "it's just one of them (the bills) that we can't catch up on."

Azayliah hardly notices the adult problems that surround her. She's too busy fighting cancer and raising money for other kids in her shoes. She wants to fund a "Make a Wish" dream come true for other kids who've relapsed and she wants to start a kids clothing line that offers big pockets, so kids can carry more things. What Azayliah calls, "Pockets of Hope."

Azayliah's family and friends just want to survive another winter. Another round of cancer-fighting treatments.

This Saturday, October 27th there will be a cut-a-thon to raise money for Azayliah's family. Donations will be accepted there. See the attached flyer for more details!
