Tucson - Emi is a 10 year old boy who loves to play sports, especially football. He'd never owned a baseball glove until Tucson Padres Manager, Terry Kennedy gave him one.
The Tucson Padres invited Emi in for a special, all access tour of Kino Stadium. Emi got catching and throwing pointers, from Kennedy and the Padres' General Manager, Mike Feder. Emi told Kristi's Kids, his favorite part of the day was "actually the catching."
Emi's mom and dad lost their parental rights, so he's in state custody waiting for his forever family to find him. Emi is active. He likes riding his bike and going camping. Emi likes to joke and smile and likes giving hugs.
Emi's case manager, Rayleen Carangio, tells Kristi's Kids, "a family where he could be the youngest child would be best... He's really loving and very, very considerate. Very thoughtful. He thinks about others a lot. He's just nice."
