Posted 10:00 PM 10/13/2011 : Kitchen Cops: Denny's and Mr. K's Barbeque have violations
TUCSON - On this week's Kitchen Cops, News 4 Tucson's Brandon Gunnoe finds reports of dirty hands on your clean dishes, and food handlers who need to put on a hair restraint when handling your food.
Denny's on East 22nd Street received three critical violations: a dishwasher was loading dirty dishes and then unloading clean dishes without washing his hands, several foods were not being stored at a safe temperature, and spray bottles with chemicals inside were not labeled. All of the violations were corrected, and Denny's on East 22nd received a good rating.
Mr. K's Barbeque on North Stone Avenue received one critical violation. Shredded cheese, blue cheese dressing, and sour cream were being held at over 50 degrees; that's not safe. Plus, there were food handlers with no hair restraints on. The violations were corrected, and Mr. K's Barbeque on North Stone received a good rating.
We told you two weeks ago about New China on West Ina having live and dead cockroaches in the kitchen area, among other violations. All of the violations have been corrected, so New China on West Ina passed its reinspection.
Pei Wei on East University, Mama's Pizza on East Speedway, and Taco Bell East Grant Road all received an excellent rating.
