Posted 11:58 PM 6/12/2012 : Kelly faces second loss
TUCSON - When the election results first started coming in Jesse Kelly jumped to a quick lead. But once the early ballots were reported, reality set in at Jesse Kelly's election party as Ron Barber took a sizable lead and never gave it up.
Kelly arrived early at the Viscount Suites, in midtown Tucson, making several appearances throughout the evening, mingling with supporters and talking with the media. But as the night wore on it became clear that Jesse Kelly had failed in his second attempt to get to congress. In his concession speech Kelly said, "We are blessed to live in a country where the voters get exactly what they want."
When asked if he would be a candidate for congress in the newly structured congressional district 2 Jesse Kelly said "most likely" and that he would make an official announcement as early as today.
