Posted 8:12 AM 10/30/2012 : Remaining rather warm to wrap October
TUCSON - Above average temps rule the rest of October.
High pressure parked over Las Vegas cranks Tucson's high into the upper 80's today, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Highs this afternoon for southern Arizona will be 8-10 degrees above average with sunny skies.
Look for chamber of commerce weather to continue as the weather pattern remains blocked due to slow-moving Superstorm Sandy. Halloween highs reach the upper 80's, with mid to upper 70's for trick-or-treat time in Tucson. Overnight lows the next several nights drop into the low to mid 50's.
Another blocking pattern takes shape over the weekend, as a low pressure trough drops south of the state and high pressure sets up near California. Temperatures during the daytime hours Saturday and Sunday top out in the low 80's, which is on par for early November.
