Posted 8:08 AM 11/29/2012 : Wrapping up the 3rd warmest November on record
TUCSON - November 2012 will be a historic one weather-wise in the Old Pueblo.
A high pressure ridge over southern Arizona keeps daytime highs 8-10 degrees above average today and tomorrow, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Unlike yesterday, expect a lot more sunshine with a few cirrus clouds drifting in from the west.
If Tucson's high temp reaches the upper 70's the next few days, November 2012 will be the 3rd warmest in history. This month's average high temp likely ends up 6 degrees above the monthly normal. Fall 2012 also goes down in the record books as one of the warmest & driest.
December starts where November's weather left off. Daytime highs through the middle of next week hit the upper 70's to low 80's with mostly sunny skies. Overnight lows also remain on the mild side, only dropping into the upper 40's/low 50's metro-wide.
