Posted 10:09 AM 4/25/2013 : Sonoran Wind Machine cranks up the fire danger
TUCSON - The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning from 11 AM until 8 PM today, including Cochise, Graham and Greenlee Counties.
Gusty winds up to 25 MPH increases the wildfire threat today, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. This is in response to a low pressure trough tracking across Arizona this afternoon. Winds subside after sunset this evening, after daytime highs reach the upper 80's in Tucson.
Outdoor burning is not recommended east of Tucson during the afternoon and evening hours.
More sunshine and warmer temps round out the rest of the forecast. Highs through Saturday peak in the upper 80's, with 90's returning next week.
