TUCSON - An above average start to the new month.

High pressure over the West Coast controls our weather through next week, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Expect more sunshine this afternoon and highs in the low 70's. This weekend features increasing cloud cover, but still plenty of warmth. From Saturday through next Thursday high temps reach the 70's with overnight lows in the 40's.

Temperatures the next several days will run a good 5-8 degrees above average for early February.
