TUCSON - News 4 Tucson has confirmed a missile test in New Mexico is responsible for this morning's strange cloud streak.
According to White Sands, the missile test went as planned. This is the 14th test of its kind at White Sands, with the 40-foot missile launched dubbed "Juno".
The streak is known as a "noctilucent cloud", which forms from rocket exhaust cooling and condensing. Its altitude captured sunlight well before the sun rose, creating a dazzling bright streak.
