TUCSON - The main Police command center has moved locations, but the volunteer tent is staying put. Many gather each day to find out what they can do to help.
Imelda Benitez came by today to pick up fliers to post around town.
"I have a 5 year old daughter and it breaks my heart. That's why I'm here. To do anything I can," she said.
Debbie Shaw, a volunteer who has been stationed at the tent, says the outpouring of love has been tremendous.
"We've got people everywhere. They're putting up banners, they're getting food. There's so many businesses that have donated food and water and drinks."
Even a local painter named Sharon Baker wanted to offer what she could.
"I don't have a lot of money. I don't have a lot of strength. I can't go out searching. I paint, that's what I do, so that's what I can give."
And give she did, bringing dozens of her paintings to the tent to sell. All the profit will go to the family.
T-shirts and banners have also been pouring in from local companies. Antonio Rodriguez, from The Print Room, says he just wants to do whatever he can.
"I called one of our shirt suppliers as well and they're donating 300 shirts so we can print some shirts."
At this time, of the volunteers told me the thing they need most is more computer paper. The Office Max at Broadway and Craycroft is accepting donations for it over the phone, or in person.
Additionally, the Auto Zone on 22nd Street near Swan, is holding a car wash fundraiser this Saturday morning from 10 a.m. Until 3 p.m.
