TUCSON - Some event details were released Tuesday for the second anniversary of the January 8 shootings in Tucson.

Groups formed after the tragedy hope Southern Arizonans will spend January 5 outside with friends and family as a way to honor those who were killed that day.

"We all share the belief that we must never forget what happened in front of that Safeway on January Eighth 2011," said the January 8th Foundation's C.J. Karamargin. "We must never forget those who lost their lives, the loved ones they left behind and the heartbroken community that was brought closer together by that tragedy."

There are planned events for January 5 all over town. Here's a list:

12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. Main Event: "BEYOND - Together We Move" Hosted by Children's Museum Tucson, Armory Park Senior Center and a broad coalition of groups.
12 p.m. - Jazzercise and Kidical mass bike ride
1 p.m. - Uzo Dance Methods will teach Beyoncé's "Move Your Body" flash.
2 p.m. - Historical tour of downtown Tucson led by historian Ken Skoville.
3 p.m. - "Meet Me" Run/Walk with the Mayor.
Classes all day for Zumba, Yoga, Tai-Chi, Line Dancing, Ballroom Dancing, Samba, Table Tennis, Bocce, Shuffleboard, Double Dutch Jump Roping, Wee Move Fit Classes, Jumping Castles, Rock Climbing, Obstacle Courses and more.

7:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Run or Hike BEYOND at Sabino Canyon:
Hosted by the Coronado National Forest and the Sky Island Children's Forest (fees waived for the day.)
7:00 a.m.- Southern Arizona Roadrunners will offer three runs up the canyon. A 1-mile fun run for kids, as well as 2-mile and 4-mile non-competitive social runs.
10:00 a.m.-Sabino Canyon Volunteer Naturalists will lead a nature hikes.
10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.- Junior Ranger Programs.

7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Hike Arizona Trail Passage #13 - Oracle, AZ:
Hosted by the Southern Arizona Hiking Club.
Total 16 miles hike out and back with an elevation gain of 1400 feet. Meet at Oracle and McGee south-east corner, south side Chase Bank. Hikers leave promptly at 7:00 a.m.

7:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Discovery Day and Duathlon at Colossal Cave Mountain Park:
Park entrance fee waived for the day.
7:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m: Colossal Duathlon- 5k run, 12-mile bike ride, 2-mile run. Pre-registration is required for the duathlon. See taggrun.com for details and pricing.
10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: Bureau of Land Management and Empire Ranch Foundation will host a day of discovery at the park with free tours of the Park and the Arizona Trail.

8:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Gabe Zimmerman Davidson Canyon Hike or Bike Ride:
Take I-10 to the Highway 83 exit. Turn North (left) over I-10 to the frontage road; then Eest (right) on Marsh Station Road/Frontage Road about 3 miles to the Trailhead parking lot.

8: 00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. Stroll and Roll at Christina-Taylor Green Memorial Park:
Bring your wheelchair, your running shoes, your baby stroller, your roller skates, your family and your friends. The Stroll and Roll will begin at the Christina-Taylor Green Linear Park, located at the corner of Shannon Road and Magee Road. It is a paved, flat trail. The entire route is a 3.1-mile loop. Sponsored by GRandparentsINresidence (GRIN).

8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Hike Catalina State Park with Town of Oro Valley
Two hiking distances available:
1) Canyon Loop trail, 3-mile loop 2) Sutherland Trail to Sutherland Wash, 5.2 miles round trip.
Meet at the Chase Bank parking lot across from the entrance to Catalina State Park & receive a wristband good for discounted admission into the Park. Note: reptile/wildlife exhibit program also available.

Communitywide Remembrance Bell Ringing: 10:10 a.m.

The January 8th Memorial Foundation, the Fund for Civility, Respect and Understanding and BEYOND hope to hold days of remembrance that include similar events every year, scheduled for the first Saturday of January.
