TUCSON - The Southern Arizona DUI Task Force is looking for drunk drivers this holiday season.
They stopped 257 cars Friday night, making 34 DUI arrests.
Christine Meneses spent Saturday visiting her father's grave. On December 20, 2008, a drunk driver ran into Marco Salazar and killed him.
"I worshipped the ground he walked on." Meneses said, "We all did. He was an extremely excellent father."
The driver of the car, Elizabeth Tuccini, was sentenced to 6 years in prison.
Meneses is happy to see more police presence this time of year.
"Had there been maybe more police officers on the road in 2008," she said, "maybe we wouldn't be here. We wouldn't be having this conversation."
She wants people to know they should not drink and drive.
"It's OK to drink. It's OK to drink over-indulging, if you will," she said, "but the bottom line is, you just cannot drive."
The DUI Task Force will set up a checkpoint Saturday night.
