UPDATE: Police say the woman injured in a midtown crash has died. She has been identified as 58-year-old Debra Newton.
Police say a man, identified as 52-year-old Hassan Madex, was hit by another car when he ran a red light Sunday morning near Speedway and Columbus.
The impact of the crash sent Madex' car into a nearby 7-Eleven store. The car hit Newton in the process, who was a customer of the convenience store.
Madex has been cited for one count of causing serious injury or death by a moving violation, a misdemeanor offense.
The customer was critically injured at the scene and died from her injuries Sunday night.
