NORTH CAMPBELL AVENUE REPAVING PROJECT AND BIKE LANE PROJECT
On Monday, June 4, 2012, between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., the Pima County Department of Transportation along with its contractor, Southern Arizona Paving, will be performing a milling and asphalt paving treatment on Campbell Avenue from River Road to Skyline/Sunrise Drive.
This project will also reduce the four-lane section of North Campbell Avenue that begins south of Camino La Brinca and extends north to Avenida de Posada. The existing four-lane section on North Campbell Avenue will be reduced to a new two-lane section (one-lane in each direction) and bike lanes on each side to improve safety for roadway users. The new pavement will replace deteriorating pavement with a new asphalt surface and new striping for continuous bike lanes along this segment.
On Monday, June 4, 2012, the contractor will be starting preliminary work and begin the milling and paving on Thursday, June 7, 2012. Work is expected to be completed by the end of June 2012.
Traffic will be detoured onto a milled surface shoulder and flag personnel/pilot cars will direct traffic through the work zone area.
Please approach the area with caution and obey all traffic control devices.
