CENTURION EVENT

Beginning at 5 a.m., on Thursday, May 17, 2012, until 1 a.m., Monday, May 21, 2012, Fifth Avenue from Toole Avenue to Broadway will be closed to accommodate this event. This closure will be in addition to detours and closures already in place due to the Sun Link Modern Streetcar construction.

Motorists driving in these areas can expect delays during the event. The traveling public should use caution when driving or bicycling in the vicinity of this event and obey all traffic control signs and watch for event participants and pedestrians.

PARKING ALONG THE SUN LINK TUCSON STREETCAR ROUTE: ACCESSIBLE, AVAILABLE, AFFORDABLE

It's never been easier to find plenty of accessible and affordable parking for your visit to the many businesses and events in Downtown, on Fourth Avenue, and at Main Gate Square.

ParkWise is offering a "construction special" flat rate parking fee at the new Centro Garage (345 E. Congress Street), which greets motorists at the east end of Downtown, and is an easy walk to all destinations on Congress Street and on Fourth Avenue.

Parking is just $3 a day, day or night, from Sunday through Wednesday, and during the day until 5 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
After 5 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, parking at the Centro Garage is still just $5. On-street parking is free after 5 p.m. weekdays and on weekends Downtown.

The Sun Link Tucson Streetcar construction has not impeded access to either the Pennington Street Garage (110 E. Pennington Street) or the
Depot Plaza Garage (45 N. Fifth Avenue). The Pennington Street Garage
can be accessed at its Scott Avenue entrance from either direction of Pennington Street. Access Pennington Street from Stone Avenue on the west and Sixth Avenue on the east. Sixth Avenue is now two-way up to Sixth Street, so enter Downtown on southbound Sixth Avenue, and the Pennington Street Garage is on your right at Pennington Street. The Depot Plaza Garage can be accessed from Fifth Avenue and Toole Avenue.

Monthly parking permits for covered parking at the Centro Garage and the Depot Plaza Garage are now more affordable during the duration of the streetcar construction project. A monthly pass at the Centro Garage is now just $55, and a monthly pass at the Depot Plaza Garage costs $65.

Main Gate Square will validate parking after 5 p.m. every day at the Tyndall Parking Garage, accessible from Fourth Street off of Euclid Avenue on the University of Arizona Campus. The Tyndall Parking Garage is a very short walk to all the shops and restaurants on University Boulevard in Main Gate Square.
