Mothers Against Drunk Driving Arizona holds annual "Honoring Heroes Recognition Banquet"

Posted: Updated:

Mothers Against Drunk Driving Arizona held their annual Southern Arizona’s Honoring Heroes Recognition Banquet on Thursday, August 9 at Casino Del Sol.

They honored Arizona’s top law enforcement officers, first responders, and prosecutors who support M.A.D.D.’s mission to end drunk driving.

M.A.D.D. also helps fight drugged driving, support the victims of the crimes, and prevent underage drinking.

“It’s just something that is tragic,” said Jason Frazier, State Executive Director of M.A.D.D. Arizona. “We had 306 fatalities in 2016 and that number is going to rise. Over 4,000 injuries is what we are averaging each year. So, we need to end drunk driving. It’s 100% preventable and that’s why this benefit  tonight is just a little thank you that we want to say to the officers and prosecutors who are on the front line risking their lives to end this.”
