Tucson Fuddruckers permanently closed after decades of service

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON - After decades of being open, the Fuddruckers located at the intersection of Speedway Boulevard and Wilmot Road has been closed.

A sign at the entrance of the burger restaurant said the eatery permanently closed at 3 p.m. Wednesday. The message also thanked the Tucson community for their years of support.

The Tucson location is no longer listed on the company's website. The Facebook page listed that the Tucson location is "permanently closed" under its hours of operation.

Micah Aroz, one of the restaurant's head chefs, said the staff members were informed about the closure Wednesday. He said they received the message over a Facebook group message and had no prior warning of a potential closure.

Aroz worked at the Tucson location for a year and three months.
