Man displaced after trailer fire on south side

TUCSON - One man has been displaced after a blaze burned a single-wide trailer near the intersection of South Park Avenue and East Bilby Road.

Tucson Fire Department crews responded to the 6100 block of South Park Avenue at around 1 p.m. after they received multiple reports of smoke and fire coming from the trailer home. The fire reportedly did not threaten any nearby structures in the trailer home park.

The fire was controlled in 12 minutes.

The trailer was unoccupied at the time of the incident.

Officials said a few good Samaritans hopped over a fence and checked if everyone was out of mobile home before firefighters arrived. 

The man displaced by the fire said he will be staying with family.

TFD said 10 units and 25 firefighters responded to the incident. The cause and estimated of damage are still yet to be deteremined.
