PCSD hosts cool fundraiser to benefit the Special Olympics

TUCSON - To help support the Special Olympics, Pima County Sheriff's Department is coming out in full force to serve Tucson a cool, tasty treat Wednesday.

PCSD deputies will be serving scoops of ice cream at select Baskin-Robbins locations. Officials said 20 percent of all sales will benefit the Special Olympics.

From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., PCSD deputies and corrections officers will be at the Baskin-Robbins at 8140 S. Houghton Rd. The Motor Unit will in attendance. At this location, Deputy Leo and Officer Luke will make a special appearance, accompanied by PCSD's Canine Therapy team.

The motor team will then head over to the ice cream shop at 7555 N. La Cholla Blvd. to serve Casa Adobes residents a sweet scoop. McGruff and Sheriff Mark Napier will be in attendance at that location. 

PCSD will also be serving ice cream at the Baskin-Robbins at 2648 E. Speedway Blvd. and 8670 E. Broadway Blvd. from 4 to 6 p.m.
