Binge watching is making Americans fat

Posted: Updated:

Binge watching is not good for your health and the reasons have to do with not moving enough.

Services like Netflix and UberEats are making you fat, that's the finding of a new Harris Poll. According to the Zaluvida Weight Loss survey, including one thousand U.S. adults, 88 percent admitted to being more sedentary than ever before. More than 80 percent put the blame on increased screen time, on-demand meal delivery, and ride-sharing services.

40 percent of those polled say they were actively trying to lose weight and only 30 percent of them believe they will achieve their weight loss goal.

One thousand health professionals were also surveyed and they agreed, with 7 in 10 of them saying it's harder for Americans to lose weight now compared to just 10 years ago.
