UPDATE: Police identify victims in fatal hit and run collision

Posted: Updated:

Update: Tucson police have identified two people killed in a hit-and-run crash Sunday morning.

The search continues for the other driver. The crash happened around 2:30 Sunday morning, at the intersection of Speedway and Wilmot.

Meghan Clevenger, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger, 20-year-old Angel Vega, died later at the hospital.

Investigators said Clevenger entered the intersection when another driver ran a red light and hit her car. That driver ditched their car and ran off.

Clevenger was a manager at In-N-Out Burger and was driving Vega home after their shift. Vega's family is pleading with the driver to come forward. Vega would have turned 21 in December. Clevenger has a two-year-old son.

Anyone with information is asked to call 88-Crime.

GoFundMe accounts have been set up to help pay for funeral expenses for Clevenger and Vega
