Vehicle preparations for rainy conditions

Posted: Updated:

It’s not too late to prepare your vehicle for the rainy conditions.

It might seem like common sense, but a lot of customers wait until it’s too late.

According to Tony Rivera, from MPG Automotive Services, wipers are not the only thing to keep track of.

"A lot of customers will come in wanting to get their wiper blades replaced and they'll end up realizing or will end up finding there are actually a couple extra things they might want to look at while it's here to make sure the vehicle is monsoon ready," he said.

Rivera said there’ s a couple of things to look out for, like making sure your wiper blades are not streaky and your tires are in good condition.

"If there isn't enough tread on the tires, there's a huge possibility that when the water level start to rise the tire is not making proper contact with the ground, a tire could actually left up which is called hydroplaning,” said Rivera.

MPG has their monsoon inspections available for free with no appointment necessary.
