Monsoon storm chances continue and increase this week

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON – Moisture is expected to deepen this week, which will result in an increase in shower and thunderstorm activity in Tucson, especially early to mid-week.

Showers moved in from the Northeast on Sunday, bringing isolated to scattered showers across Southern Arizona. This rain moved in slower than expected, due to dry air moving into the area.

Daytime high temperatures will trend below normal throughout the work week, due to abundant moisture moving in.

Additionally, a Blowing Dust Advisory remains in effect until 8 p.m. this evening. Motorists should use caution while driving.
