Gilbert dance trio set to represent Arizona on 'World of Dance'

Posted: Updated:

GILBERT, Ariz. – Three up-and-coming dancers from the Valley will be featured on NBC’s hit show "World of Dance."

Aspyn Morell, Alyssa Suarez and Tayla Rodriguez, or the Elektro Elites, auditioned for the show and made it to Los Angeles.

The trio is part of a nationally renowned dance troupe called the Elektrolytes.

“It’s a dream come true,” said Rodriguez. “Like those big names – Jennifer Lopez and Ne-Yo and Derek Hough – you’d never expect to be able to dance in front of them."

The three said their air date is unknown. They have to watch like the rest of us to find out which episode they are on.

“Being able to represent Arizona in a world competition is amazing,” said Suarez.
