TUCSON - The Tucson Fire Department responded to a motor home fire Tuesday, June 12th near the 1400 block of West Miracle Mile.

Nine units and 23 firefighters responded to the call. They said it took eight minutes to get the fire under control.

The motor home as well as the fencing around it was destroyed, according to fire officials.

Fire crews said they pulled a hose to the motor home and began extinguishing the fire from the exterior as the amount of fire prevented them from getting inside.

Additional hose lines were used to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby mobile homes.

A 55-year-old occupant escaped the fire unharmed, and no injuries were reported.

TFD said they are trying to determine the cause of the fire, and it is unclear if the smoke alarms were in working condition.
