Local school holds Ninja Warrior Day

Posted: Updated:

The Intermountain Academy held its second annual Ninja Warrior Day, on Tuesday.

Students who attend the special needs school participated in an obstacle course based on NBC's American Ninja Warrior show.

John Callie, the school's P.E. teacher, said the event is 100-percent inclusive and all students are encouraged to take part in the course.

"It's a really great way for all the kids to practice their different skills, from balancing, to jumping to a little bit of bravery when they go up the work wall." said Callie. "We are really happy to provide this for the students."

Callie said even though each class has a first, second and third place winner, everyone is recognized for their participation.
