Keeping it under 100

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON - A week's worth of daytime highs below triple digit territory.

Temperatures reach the mid to upper 90s this afternoon through Thursday, according to 4WARN Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Plenty of sunshine is expected the next few days as highs run 4-7° above average for mid May.

For the most part, winds won't be much of a factor. The only exception will be Thursday, courtesy of a storm system west of the state. Gusts approach 15-25 MPH Thursday afternoon.

The upcoming weekend looks quiet on the weather front. Sunny skies, light winds and highs in the low to mid 90s are in the forecast. Overnight lows this weekend bottom out in the upper 50s to low 60s.
