UPDATE: DPS troopers are investigating a female in her 20s whose body was found on the right shoulder of Interstate 10 at milepost 211, near Eloy.
Troopers responded to several 911 calls reporting a fatal crash, including at least one report that a female had been thrown from a vehicle.
Once on scene, officers found a dead female victim. DPS says there were no vehicles on scene involved in a crash.
Investigators are currently interviewing witnesses.
All lanes of the highway have reopened.
The investigation is ongoing.
(KVOA) -- DPS troopers have closed Interstate 10 eastbound at milepost 211, near Eloy, due to a crime investigation early Monday morning.
All eastbound traffic is being rerouted at exit 211. Alternative routes include the east frontage road, where traffic can reenter the highway at milepost 219.
DPS would not provide any other details.
The westbound lanes are unaffected.
There is no estimated time on when the eastbound lanes will be reopened.
