#RedForEd leaders and teachers gathered at Tucson High Magnet School to discuss the future of the movement and how to get their demands met by Governor Doug Ducey.

After the meeting ended, attendees gathered on the steps for a short rally, chanting the same chants used in their march.

Derek Harris, a lead organizer for Arizona Educators United, commented on the meeting's discussion. He said they need to know more about Governor Ducey's plan to boost funding for schools and raise teacher salaries.

He also said teachers would consider a walkout if their demands aren't met.

"If we don't see some movement to satisfying everything we've asked for, a considerate movement in that direction, yes [teachers will walk out]," Harris said.

For now, organizers are focused on getting everyone on board with their mission.

"We are still working on details, strategizing the movement to make sure that anything that we do is a positive motion, is a positive action that makes change," Harris said.
