The Arizona Board of Regents unanimously approved an amendment to the employment contract of the University of Arizona's head men's basketball coach, Sean Miller.
The amendment means Miller would have to forfeit $1M if charged with any crime regarding his employment, or if he commits a severe NCAA violation.
"Coach Miller supported this direction and welcomed it as we discussed it and worked through it," said UA Athletic Director, Dave Heeke. "We feel this is a very positive step going forward as we deal with, quite frankly, a world of speculation, a world of 'rush to judgment' attitude. We think [this is a] very proactive and appropriate measure as we go forward."
